On December 23rd, guitarist Thaddaeus Washington performed a special live concert inside Hannon’s Block in downtown Toledo. In front of a sold-out audience, the evening brought together music, dining, and community for an intimate live recording event.

Performed primarily as a solo guitar concert, Washington guided the room through a 65-minute musical journey blending jazz, improvisation, and spiritual reflection. With nothing but his guitar and the natural acoustics of the space, the performance unfolded organically — every note, pause, and reaction from the audience becoming part of the recording.

The night also featured special guest performances from Gibson Stancati, son of Hannon’s Block owner Mike Stancati, and Leonard Washington, Thaddaeus’ father — adding a deeply personal and generational element to the evening.

Spanning 1 hour and 5 minutes, the full performance is pressed across two vinyl records to preserve the warmth and dynamic range of the live recording. The result is a listening experience that places you in the room, hearing the music exactly as it happened.
